Application:

T400755 is an intake-valve seat ring designed for Perkins 1506A/E88TAG and 1104/1004 family 4- and 6-cylinder diesels (4.4 L & 8.8 L) that power 60 Hz prime generators, combine harvesters, MF 6400-series tractors and marine auxiliary sets rated 150–250 kW. It is pressed into the cylinder-head inlet port to give a 45 °, 0.02 mm-concentric seal surface for valves with 38 mm head diameter, ensuring volumetric efficiency stays above 92 % at 2 800 min⁻¹ while meeting EU Stage IIIA smoke limits.

Technical specifications:

OD 46.0 mm, ID 38.5 mm, thickness 7.0 mm, seat angle 45 °, interference fit 0.06–0.10 mm in aluminium head, depth in pocket 7.5 mm. Material is low-carbon (0.15 %) steel billet that is copper-infiltrated and sintered to 7.2 g cm⁻³ density, giving 350 HB hardness and thermal conductivity 45 W m⁻¹ K⁻¹ for rapid heat rejection.

Material & performance features:

The copper-infiltrated matrix resists valve micro-welding and transfers heat away from the 21-4N stainless valve head, keeping seat temperature below 220 °C even when inlet air reaches 60 °C. Controlled 0.25 µm Ra surface finish beds in within 50 h, maintaining blow-by <1 % for the engine’s full life.
